Colin Montgomerie officially launched his latest design project on May 23rd 2006. Appointed by Papillon Hotels, Colin will design a new 18 hole golf course in the Belek region of Turkey, near Antalya. The Montgomerie Course at Papillon Golf Club will form part of a new $100 million golf and hotel complex. To compliment the 18 hole championship golf course there will be a flood lit 9 hole short course and a golf academy, as well as a luxury 5 star hotel and up to 40 holiday villas which will join the four existing Papillon hotels in Belek. Complimenting the 18 hole Montgomerie Course will be a 9 hole resort course, a golf academy and a luxury hotel which will join the existing four Papillon Hotels in Belek. Forty villas will also form part of this exciting new resort. Set within 104 hectares of mixed pine forest and ridges, the feel of the natural sandy ground will be maintained to develop the particular characteristic of the golf course.
The Montgomerie Course will be in excess of 6420 m (7021 yards) and play to a
par of 72.
